I love your firepup icon, I just want to know how I can change the colour of it to better suit different themes. Must be simple but I'm a little bit graphics challenged!

I only ever built a few icons, some 'Simpsons' ones and a cartoonish 'calc' one.

I did the changes with layers in Photoshop psd files, It you have photoshop on your sons vista PC I'll send you the images/layers, Wait I flattened the top and bottom, so just recolour the bottom image and layer the top overtop of the image:)
Here's some floppy's I made with Photoshop some time back, I like them better than the default ones on puppy:)

You can easily change the colour in Mtpaint. Menu-->Effects-->Transform Colour. The Hue-slider changes the color.

But with the icon I'm working with that approach affects the transparent background too. I did that with the slideshow frame. Thanks anyway.

You need to use gimp Mick, You can easily adjust the layers. Here's a good small version :)

Icon for xmahjongg

#16 Post by yorkiesnorkie »

Here's an icon I made for xmahjongg from a screenshot of the game. Note the real icon goes in usr/share/icons and has a filename of "xmahjongg.png" If you simply want to replace it you'll need to change the name of my file which is "xMahjongg.png"

webcam icon

#19 Post by vovchik »

Dear puppians,

This icon may be too anatomical for some, but I use it for my netbook webcam. You can't mistake it for anything else, I think :)

With kind regards,
vovchik

That is sooo cool vovchik! Awesome! I've simply GOT to find some use for that! Hmm... maybe for an image viewer? LOL!

Thanks for that one. You've made some excellent icons which I still use here btw. :)

Cheers my Puppian friend!
