I wanted to setup my own fileserver, but now I think there is no need for it...

got a special offer, a virtual server with 5 Gigabyte, unlimited Traffic, 55 Mysql-databases, and lots more... for just 5 Euro/Month at one of the most recommended providers in germany. ( http://Domainfactory.de , costs usually 230 E/month).

Puh, this is like christmas and eastern at the same time

I will have to find out how to set up FTP-accounts and more, then I may offer you accounts to upload large files.
For Smaller ones I will program a small Webinterface in the next month.

Good I found your Tel.-Number via tel-tarif

A virtual Server is a cool thing, it is nearly something like a complete remote-Linux-machine.
You even can edit the PHP-Configfiles.

This allows to run scripts, that don't work on cheaper hosts.
For example at noforum.de, I cannot read external websites with PHP (must use CGI for that).

And apart from that, 5 Gig without trafficlimit is enormous

Of course so many possibilities will take some time to be managed, setting up FTP-accounts and such.

So it will take some days, until I can start it for the public.
