Due to the need of a font editor for Pwidgets, I went on a hunt, And found that the most used Font editor for linux was Font Forge, So I downloaded the source and tried to compile it, grrrrrr errors.
So I went to the Ubuntu gutsy repo and did a search and found it :)
I then compiled the 2 needed libs and packaged it, Works fine on 4.2.
The only thing I have installed is the devx compiler so if anything is missing Please report and I'll try to fix it.

Here's a tip ... double-click the glyph you want to edit and the edit window opens ... choose file>export and select .svg format. Now you can edit in inkscape if that's easier for you. When done, open the same glyph and choose file>import and import your modified .svg glyph.

Here's another tip ... don't reinvent the wheel ... go to http://grsites.com/archive/fonts/ and search for Dingbats fonts. Find something with stars, suns, moons, clouds, etc and export that. Modify to taste and import into your composite font.

Hope that helps (yeah, I've been playing too!) :P

Fontforge for Lupu 525

I am new to Linux and Puppy Linux.

There is a smartfont I made in 2006 and would like to make improvements to it using Fontforge. I find that this discussion is 2 and half years old. Would anyone reading this tell if there is a PET package to install Fontforge?

If not, where to get the different files of the package and where they go in the system?

Thanks a bunch!
