/usr/share/pixmap gets inadvarently overwritten by a dotpup and the next thing you know is that puppy would'nt start after reboot.

Because so many packages install in /usr/share/pixmaps would it not be nice to move the pixmap folder to /usr/share and create a link to where it lies now.

OH !!! on second thoughts that I just had after writing this line. There are so many packages that do not install to /usr/share/pixmap. They would have to be updated .... painful

So Thought 2 - instead of /usr/share/pixmap being a link let there be a /usr/share/pixmap folder physically and edit rc.local to do link all pixmaps from /usr/X11R6/somwhere/pixmaps/ to /usr/share/pixmaps/

would
ln -s /usr/X11R6/somewhere/pixmaps/* /usr/share/pixmaps/ work ????

Barry its human to err and every now and then a user making a dotpup might forget to relocate the /usr/share/pixmap folder in his TEST FOLDERS and end up with broken puppy his/her own or somebody elses
