EZ, I tried to join your forum but the "code" thing was impossible...
I tried everything it looked like, to no avail...LOL..I am at 16bit color, but I doubt changing to 24 would help...Hows an old half blind guy going to join???
LOL???
I`ll keep trying.......... |
Ha ha only a computer can read that one.
is it close to this 2WJHV6Y or 2WJHVGY maybe the first but I will not try.
Often one can tell chapta to place a new such to dechiffer that is easier for your color coding

Vitamin E1 or something may be cheaper and safer
So was it a 6 or a G ?
So you are the make of Pupitup then. Wow.
Sadly it does not do internet for me. I have an Acer D250 and they use Atheros Ethernet card on the Mobo and that one use a driver Atl1c or similar that some Puppies from the 421 series fail to recognize they see no network at all.

This is not an advertising for a commercial music notation software, just a way to show how much money free software saves users:
Most of what this software does can be done with either or both Rosegarden and Muse Score:
http://shop.avid.com/store/product.do;jsessionid=7FDE1B983CC4181BBADA21EEAE17E657.ASTPESD1?product=306830378734544
This gives you an idea of what Puppy studio and Pupitup would cost if it wasn't free.
To be perfectly honest this price is for a pack allowing max 5 users in a class, but how many of these packs does the average class room need ?
On the other hand you can install ZILLIONS of the linux based version.
Thanks heaven for Linus Torvald, and all his followers. |
Makes you wonder just how much tax payers money is wasted by governments on proprietary and closed source when their are open source and totally free alternatives.

Agreed, stu. Another benefit to government using Linux is that they could compile the kernel for themselves without releasing the sources to protect against hacking and unauthorized computer use. From what I've read, the Dept. of Defense already does that, why can't the rest of the U.S. Government? I believe that the most classified government offices are using Linux with custom kernels. Think about Pres. Obama's Blackberry. Remember that was replaced with a Gov't Issued one? It's probably using Linux. Remember, the U.S. government doesn't consist only of ignorant politicians, there are a lot of smart folks working within. I think Linux should be used by all of the government, from the Oval Office down to your local DMV. That could save taxpayers a nice chunk of change, both, directly and in improved productivity, as computer use can be restricted.

I don't care about Bill.... Far as I'm concerned, he should be paying higher taxes just for marketing an inferior operating system for $200 a copy. Oh no, I forgot: That's $200.00 for a license to use a copy because the user never actually owns a copy of windows -- that still remains property of Micro$oft.... What a scam!... Gotta read them EULA's folks. I shall now apologize for hijacking this thread and give it back to you, sorry Tuxer

The Chinese government uses only Linux !
And with the money they saved they are buying America's roads, bridges, harbors, water depts, farming land, etc... Not just junk treasury bonds.

I use seq24 nearly every day because of its simplicity that suits my particular needs.
How can I install seq24 so that PUPITUP becomes my default os?
Also I'm surprised that jack and qsynth work first up without the usual hassles. Thanks eztuxer.

Hi pica !
The easy fast way:
install the wine.pet via the puppy package manger.
Download seq24.exe here:
http://www.filter24.org/seq24/download.html
install it (just click on it and wine will do the rest) chose ./wine/drive_c/Program Files/ as the install directory.
click on the eye in the Rox file manager toolbar to display hidden file (dot /)
and shazam ! it's magic !
The hard way: wait until someone (me ?) makes a .pet of it to run it native,
or follow install instructions after downloading and extracting the Linux version:
seq24-0.8.7.tar.gz should require the puppy 2.4.1 DEVX installed...
The third way: see if you can't do the same thing with another app already in pupitup LMMS ? AMUC ? or Zynaddsubfx see extra software on www.pupitup.org
Keep on rocking !

The pupitup .iso has been uploaded (finally) on www.pupitup.org
The iso was first on "free" hosting sites, then hosted on one of my other sites which expired not long ago.
I have uploaded it on www.pupitup.org after upgrading to unlimited bandwidth.
The download link has been updated, and I have one successful report that all is OK.
Thanks to those who PM/mail me to signal it was gone.
Keepin' on E Z Tuxin'...
