Same here soon as I installed the open gl material it started right up. Now I am trying to learn a bit more about the program from the online site.

Hi HairyWill
i got a couple of questions for you:

the sgfault refers to core dumped?

did you start the main game from the binary on /opt/ysflight, the menu entry ot console (# ysflight)?

waiting for your answer

i suggest you to try the intercept mission with 3 wingmen, 5 enemys and all enables (stealth bomber and everything) is hard as hell...very lulzy at the same time

(or if you can try a network game, i has plyed with my rommates and was awesom)

hope you enjoy it

:) It is revenge against all those low flying planes from Southhampton airport - am I right?

[HairyWill lives practically inside an airport - when we were phoning each other, apart from children causing mayhem this was a constant sound]

YsFlight Review

Thanks for helping to spread the word about YsFlight. I use it extensively, both under LINUX and Windows. I'm glad to know it works with Puppy LINUX! I use it with PcLinuxOS 2007, PcLinuxOs2008 Minime, and PcLinuxOs2009.1. While not quite as sophisticated as the best of the current combat flight simulators written just for Windows, it compares favorably with the best of them from 4 or 5 years ago, and it makes only modest demands on my computers. Here is a detailed review:

and on Puppy 4.20 before it also. Will need the Xorg driver with open gl enabled - which, was enabled on my box by editing

Code: Select all

/etc/X11/xorg.conf
and uncommenting out this line:

Code: Select all

        Option "NoAccel" "False"
and this one

Code: Select all

        Option "DRI" "True"
(But your kilometerage may vary.)

Muchas thankyous!!
