I installed 4.3 retro on a friend's laptop - but gtkam keeps crashing when you try to save pictures. Any thoughts? I recommended she start by installing the "Service Pack 4.3 to 4.3.1 upgrade" pet, perhaps that will help?

Any thoughts appreciated, even if it's a recommendation for a different camera program.

Subito Piano,

gtkam isn't that stable, there have allways been reports on crashes. easiest way would be to use gphoto2, see here for more details: http://www.gphoto.org/doc/manual/using-gphoto2.html

Native Language Support, or locales, usually another language other than English.

gphoto2 2.4.10

#10 Post by Vel »

Hi All,
did anyone happen doing a pet on gphoto2 2.4.10, yet?

Can't drive my new usb vga toy puppy cam (digital blue|barbie|disney, etc.)
on Puppy 0.40 2.6.21.7(i686):
{"Lego Bionicle", GP_DRIVER_STATUS_EXPERIMENTAL, 0x2770, 0x9051},
(http://sourceforge.net/mailarchive/foru ... gphoto-cvs )

lsusb and HardScan are positive, they print "Digital Still Camera 0xff 0x2770 0x9051".

Thank you coolpup for pointing me to http://puppylinux.org/wikka/libgphoto2

Stock Puppy 4.0 missed libltdl.so.7 so I symlinked to libltdl.so.3

Unfortunatly the revision for Lego Bionicle Cam is new and not published yet. So it's not part of the latest libgphoto2 V2.4.10.1.

I updated /libgphoto2/camlibs/digigr8/library.c manually and compiled a test version, which does quite nice.
