In my seventeen short years, I've discovered several facts of life:
1. If I'm behind, the bus will be 5 minutes early. If I'm ahead, the bus will be 15 minutes late.
2. It is against the laws of nature for me to start an essay early.
3. If it's fun or different from the norm, it is against school rules (unless it's gothic :? ).
and 4: If I go camping, the foundation will have a meeting.

Not complaining, just noticing a strange pattern. I don't like irc anyways. :)
Besides, I'll be back by Sunday (though I may have some last minute homework to do that I should have done during the week off for Thanksgiving....). So I might drop in.

initial goal

Pre-party biz:

The Foundation was set one initial goal to raise and pay for the new server . . . this was our "test" goal.

Election of Foundation Officers
I believe Raffy (I may be wrong - happens .. .) does not have time to Chair the Foundation so I am proposing:

**Chair** - Raul Suarez (rarsa)
**Vice-Chair** - Raffy (interim acting chair)

more details
http://puppylinux.org/wikka/FoundationPuppy

Any other thoughts on this?
For obvious reasons I would like to hear from raffy and rarsa.

It may be I am way out of line
Just be kind - I only have fish for brains . . .

Appetizer first

Ha ha, Lobster - that's a good appetizer! Must be some chili and ginger taken with the fingers

I have less time for the Web this week as am doing a five-day (whole days) national promotion day for Puppy - but that did not mean you never saw me here in the Forum or in the Foundation home.

Am just fresh from that activity with lessons from the ground useful for Foundation programs.

Anyway, if your point is that you want a new person to be Interim Chair, that will be welcome - am just correcting your impression about my having no time for Puppy.

We really need this meeting to move the registration of the Foundation. And then conduct an election soon after registration.

EDIT: Registering the Foundation is the big riddle. I suggest that whoever among the Founders who successfully solves this riddle (i.e., gets the Foundation registered) should be given the first option to become chair. Here's a link to initial registration work. More links here.

Note on Venue: For Foundation-related discussions and decisions, I guess the proper venue is the Secretary's website ( http://oss-2.com ). So please post there whatever info/suggestions you will make in the IRC meeting.

Thanks Raffy glad to hear you are keeping busy.

:)

Spicy = frisky

the main IRC channel for the party is
#puppylinux

a second channel may be used if busy or specific foundation stuff required
#puppylinux-foundation

I read somewhere that it cost $20 000 to set up a Foundation?
Pah. That is a big pile of fish. Should we be a charitable trust?
The Puppy Linux Trust?

We are already an "acting Foundation" without any status
I really want to incur some more debt after buying up Google . . .
