I wish! I'm tearing my hair out trying to figure that one out, and I haven't got much hair to start with, so it's pretty serious already!
Wireless is the LAST major bug to be squashed in 4.2, and the only thing that keeps us from being just one RC away from a Final release. Pretty much everything else has been sorted one way or the other.

Not this trip, 'f00, but I'm keeping my eye on what Patriot's doing there. It's looking pretty darn good IMHO. I just don't want to risk destabilising 4.2 at this late juncture.
Cheers.

Bonjour,
@ ttuuxxx
Having localized 3 files in the directory /usr/local/petget, can you give me the changes you've made, if they were made in one of these files :
check_deps.sh, installpreview.sh, pkg_chooser.sh, to update them.
Cordialement

First I need to brag about my age - 73.
Then I need to claim a senior moment allowance.
My printer is now working perfectly. Reason? I forgot that the driver needs libtiff.so.4, which I installed ages ago on 4.1, updated to 4.11, updated to 4.12. But I used a new pup-save for 4.2, and forgot about the lib.
So thanks everyone- Puppy 4.2 is great!! It's a keeper!

it was petget that has been changed lines 467,468, now states
HOWEVER, you need to 'Refresh Menus' to see it
(just above the Shutdown button in the menu)
you won't have to worry about the extra servers, since they are url names:)

Probably. The trouble is that although I'm 58 on the outside, I'm still only 25 on the inside. *sigh*

Senior moment allowance granted with interest! I'm really glad it's working for you, gerry... and you SHOULD be bragging about still being fully engaged and willing to try new ideas at age 73! I'll settle for just getting there in ANY condition!

Good news, mate! I'm also pleased to see that we don't really have any showstoppers outstanding for the next release, apart from the wireless issues. I've PM'd tempestuous for some advice on that one, because a number of the problematic drivers are built into the kernel and haven't changed since 4.12 when they apparently worked?!?

Do you need something compiled ? for wireless? if so just name it.
