Recently, dejan555 has been churning out clockskins. I did one or two myself, as has tasmod and trio.

Now here is the place to post them..... and not just clockskins, sidebars, themes, other graphical ideas to do with Pwidgets.

Peruse and enjoy!

Here's the dotpet with all of my clockskins so far + 2 new added
I have also fixed some transparent pixels that sneaked in near internal clock borders on two of my skins.

Nice dejan555

Here are some small ones and one big one

(Flash. Pwidgets should resize the white clock to 140x140, hope you can see it, if not I can make bigger digits but there is kilobyte penalty)

Aaah, nice, so they can be done that way too, I've tried the 100x1 pixel method and it didn't turn out good, I'll try making some.... ;)

Yeah I think these are 300x60, Gotta have some area if you use curves and angled grads

The 100x1 method only works if your grad is square and there are no curves.
The 1x1 method only works for single color transparencies. They only have to be tiny if they are to be in default Pwidgets. That being said, I like to keep my Puppy small yet functional, even in the 'eycandy' department. It is a matter of balance, make 'em big and then shrink 'em down til they start to lose effect. just above that point is your optimum size

Every time I see those side bars, I reach for the hourglass settings on my monitor.

Some oval skins

What about some oval clockskins? :)
The grayscaled one is only 9KB, LOL have to remember to change image mode in GIMP, so it reduces size.

dejan, your clocks are nice.

See the simple white face one I made, do you think you can make one like it with your touch, keeping the filesize rather small? Say less then 3k? It must be clear and easy to read, and can be scaled sown to an optimum so that when Pwidgets rescales it to 140x140 it loses minimal detail. The one I made is 2k, 105x105 I think, but is a bit off line. Oh, and best keep it png. Less issues.

I'll try, so whatever res it is, pwidgets always scale the image to 140x140?

Now we need a nice Pizza Clock for Puppy 4.2 final:
Take a screenshot of a real Pizza and use two real (red and green) pepperoni images for the hands :)

6 small clocks differently coloured, 16KB all together. ;)
EDIT: Updated package, smoothed some edges, now they're even less in size, it's now a 14KB pack!

dejan,

You can see on Pwidgets thread your clockskin (the small one) almost made it into default Pwidgets. Go to that thread and read zigbert's comments. I know you can make one suitable...
