USB drive not written to upon shutdown

#1 Post by superjet »

Hello!
I have been using Puppy via a 1Gb USB Thumb drive (Jump drive, flash drive)
And the problem I am having is the information does not see to be written back to the thumb drive when I shut down. I have to reconfigure the ehternet, my docs are cleared, video settings are forgotten.

Am I missing something here? I created the drive by using "Install USB puppy drive"

Thanks,
Jamie

Use Rox-filer to be sure that there is a pup001 file on your USB Drive. It sounds suspiciously like Puppy is unable to find a pup001 file to use on your computer while it is booting.

If you can't find the pup001 file you can d/l one here and unzip it to your NTFS drive in Windows XP( C:/) or even put it on the USB Drive if you want to take it with you.

Good Luck and let us know how it goes. :) [/url]
