Hi there,
I'm a puppy fan, and loving the distro, except for the sound issues which I haven't managed to solve. This is my first time on this forum, so bare with me. Anyway, I recently upgraded to 4.12 hoping that the sound issues would have been resolved, but no deal. I find the new version less stable for the following reasons:
1. The mount device is no longer working
2. Seamonkey crashes quite often, especially when certain pages are called up.
3. Gxine is getting weird.
The new version is in a seperate pup folder. However, my old pup no longer works. I tried reinstalling the old 4.0 but it refused to do anything, and I can't seem to get the video up. So I guess its either delete the entire pup folder completely or stick with the 4.12 and try to solve the issues. Any advice from fellow puppy owners?

What about hotplug (which automounts)1. The mount device is no longer working
I think you can turn on and off
Is 'mut' (type from console) still available?
Yep - I suggest upgrading to Flash 10 Beta - which seems more stable2. Seamonkey crashes quite often, especially when certain pages are called up.
Use mplayer3. Gxine is getting weird.
hope that helps
