Strange. It doesn't look like a Puppy... It looks like a dozen other Linux distros available on DistroWatch. It lacks personality, if you ask me.

Sorry if I'm bursting any bubble.

Dunno, I thought the wallpaper kinda screamed "Puppy Linux" ;)

That and I'd recognize freememapplet_tray anywhere. Isn't that unique to Puppy?

Well, if you remove or ignore the square "band-aid" with Puppy written on it, it can look like some version of imagineos or siduction, or whatever distro is currently based on xfce. Or any distro with a "wavey" backdrop, really.

Just my opinion, of course. As the French proverb says: "Of tastes and colors one should not discuss." And I shouldn't have in the 1st place...

I had this desktop a few years ago... maybe I'll bring it back for the monsoon season. This picture was taken from my backyard...

I tried Puppy to keep an old Thinkpad X24 going (with just 256M RAM); now it's my favorite computer. This is Lupu 5.1. I stayed with JWM to keep it light. Thanks to everyone I borrowed from (including dejan555 for the wallpaper concept), and to all the members of this forum for maintaining such a useful resource.

SpaceFM is really nice. And I like how ROXTerm and Mplayer look with no titlebar. I used Faenza "action" icons to replace the GTK stock icons.

ooooh. I really like the minimal subdued look. Sometimes less is more, and you've hit the nail on the head!

Yeah, I agree, the zekton font should be better known. It's quite efficient for titles and such.

A la manana !
