My Puppy is more gorgeous than yours!
Oh, I forgot to mention it is a puplet from big_bass "fat_free"... only 53M iso and I am running it live with a 120M (I think?) swap partition. It goes slow but it goes and it does not crash! It is fine for browsing. I have it next to my dev box and I do use it almost daily. It is connected to the net thru my dev box thru my wireless network. It is 'bridged' with a utility called ShareInternet-2.0 by forum member 'gyro'. See his thread "Aditional Software|ShareInternet-2.0"
Cheers and don't thow away old stuff when you have Puppy!

Yeah, what Micko said! Don't get rid of it! I'm posting from a PII laptop, IBM Thinkpad...there's still life in it! Many of my other screenshots are from this little laptop..Puppy is amazing...puppyiso wrote:Looking good!
I was about to get rid of my old P II with 128MB RAM due to wife's nagging.
But seeing yours, I now can convince my wife. Thanks!
You and I are in for Gray and ecological attitude.

Nice pic indeed! ..but I see your wireless widget is not working? or you're maybe not on wireless? If there's a problem you may post in the pwidgets threadhistorymaker118 wrote:Here's my pup (again) this time with a few improvements, such as two wbars, the newest pwidgets and some new icons from kde-look. Actually I think its more of my wireless connection being dodgy than the widgets being buggy. And who cares if its the default scheme? It works fine for me and does what I want it to so I'm not complaining. (Actually I have tweaked it a bit otherwise the wbar at the top is in the way.)01micko wrote:I suspecting not on wireless.... it is the default scheme for profiles|system_lefttrio wrote:Nice pic indeed! ..but I see your wireless widget is not working? or you're maybe not on wireless? If you go to Pwidgets thread and give details about your wireless connection we may be able to do something for you. When you say dodgy, do you mean the interface is dodgy or the connection?
Cheers

Don't worry your widgets work fine. Its my internet connection. BT homehub thing loses connection when the hub phone thingy (technical term for it by the way) is in use. It only happens cause it was never synced to the hub properly. Its nothing for puppy to worry about - just something to moan at the bill gates worshiping bt people (all support for it can only be used with windows) to worry about.01micko wrote:@historymaker118

...still just so impressed that with like a couple of quick tweaks you can have Puppy look anyway you want...awesome!
