Empty /root & use it as a Samba mnt. (SOLVED)

#1 Post by sunburnt »

I'm deleting /root, & then making a new /root, & trying to mount a Samba share on it.
The contense of /root has already been copied to the Samba share, ready to go.
Mounting the public & docs dirs. works, but the last section fails trying to mount the share on /root.
Maybe making a /root link in /, to point to a new mount point /mnt/root would do it?
If someone wants to help, here's my script: samba-setup

SOLVED by just mounting /home, making new /etc link, & change $HOME=/home, so far works good.
