new sound manager for puppy? Subject description: the latest and greatest |
|
hey guys,
I was chattin with daysleeper555 a regular like me , wolf_pup , genera and and handful of others
anyways the topic was that i'm so spoiled for the high defintion audio that realplayer pro gave me in windows plus all its features it had like play, record, download any media stream on the net plus had all these neat cd burning features as well like crossfading(one constant string of music accross the cd without stopping) normalization( making the the volume sound the same on all tracks) and some other things like burning dvd's and blu ray discs all in the same player
now i wish to make a program that great and awesome my self and while i was researching how to do so i stumbled upon http://alma.sourceforge.net/
advanced linux meda Architecure
its like alsa except like from what i read is supposed to be better
i so i was also wondering should this be built on perl or c++?
and how the frill am i supposed to get devx working on puppy 4.12?
i tried eveything everyone on the chatroom suggested but that failed
am i doing some thing horribly wrong or its it this dell being finicky?
also i'm open to new ideas for features and whatever from what i expericned 90% of the people i meet online absolutley hate realplayer unlike me what do you guys think?
Regardless what are the good or bad points about real and what can be improved or added that i did not discuss?
Thanks guys
Saturn
BTW did i post in the right topic\sub forum thread?
