pupsave file

#1 Post by exon »

how can i relocate my old pupsave file.

i moved it from the map dpupexprimo in my sda3 to a map in sda5 in a map called pupsaveexprimo.

cause when i startup my system it doesn't find the file anymore.

i did this because one partition start to become to smalle and i wanted to resize the save file and didn't have enough space.

you can relocate you pupsave any place but you need edit the bootloader
and relocate pupsave and extract from the iso vmlinuz . initrd.gz and .sfs
put together in a same directory
if is grub legacy or grub4dos
look for menu.lst
open and edit here my example

# menu.lst produced by grub4dosconfig-v1.8.0
#color
splashimage=/splash.xpm
timeout 10
default 0

# Frugal installed Puppy

title Puppy Linux 531 Alex arranca con este (sirve)
root (hd0,0)
kernel /boot/vmlinuz root=/dev/sda1 pmedia=atahd

title Passagio 531
uuid 71a1fb7a-7a00-49a6-8177-403a2e4553c9
kernel /Passaggio/vmlinuz psubdir=Passaggio pmedia=atahd pfix=fsck
initrd /Passaggio/initrd.gz

sorry bad english here
