Subject description: need advice on compiling mp3blaster

Update 3-20-12: I downloaded the most recent source for mp3blaster (same as james used) and it compiled without problems! Very Happy

James,

I have a version of mp3blaster that I have made some very minor mods to and had previously compiled under redhat linux with a 2.4 kernel. Now I'm trying to compile under slacko 5.3.1 with the devx_slacko_5.3.1.sfs compiler package installed, gcc version 4.5.2. I seem to be having a problem with history.cc and line 18 because the compiler does not like the compiler option "-Wstrict-prototypes". I was wondering how you got around this of if you compiled with a different compiler.

The exact error is:

command line option "Wstrict-prototypes" is valid for Ada/c/objC but not for C++

Thanks,

Doug
