How to get Aqualung to label ripped tracks?

#1 Post by DemostiX »

I'm a step behind, unfamiliar with playlists and "stores" managed through a user-owned database, as Aqualung does it.

So, Aqualung knows and encodes, for albums it has matched in CDDB, the artist, song, album, etc. But, by default it does not label files with ripped tracks with those variables. That is data stored in a database.

Is there an Aqualung setting that also labels the songs so they can also be identified by eye?

7.8. CDDB

You can set some parameters of the CDDB lookups here. As for the query protocol, standard CDDBP (port 888) and CDDB over HTTP (port 80) are supported. The standard CDDBP port is the recommended choice unless some unavoidable firewall settings prevent you from using it. For submission HTTP is always used.

The default CDDB database server address is freedb.org, but you may specify another server (maybe a close mirror). The connection timeout can also be set here.

If you want to submit records to the CDDB server, you will have to give a valid email address.
