Opera address field missing

I upgraded to the latest version of Opera (8.51) and struck a problem where the address field didn't appear in the address bar, ie you couldn't see the URL you were browsing.

I searched the Opera forums and found this solution:

"Go to Buttons>Defaults and *drag* the address field to the toolbar."

That works.
