Here's amarok sfs packed with all dependencies, I also recommend installing dri support for enjoying all those visualizations fullscreen.
I repacked this from debian packages. It's 49MB, here's the link:

amarok_410.sfs <-- SFS 3 version, for puppies older then 4.3
Mirrored on dokupuppy:
http://puppylover.netsons.org/dokupuppy ... ia_players

amarok_430-sfs4.sfs <--SFS 4 version, for puppies 4.3 and newer
amarok_430-sfs4.sfs <-- download from petstore
amarok_430-sfs4.sfs-md5.txt MD5SUM
libpcre3_7.6-2.1_i386.pet <-- needed lib for puppy 4.3
(If you get page full of gibberish code when downloading libpcre, try saving it with Right Click on it -> Save as)

Striped sfs (33 MB) packaged for dpup 484 b4 here: amarok-1.4.10-lite-dpup_484.sfs
Md5: amarok-1.4.10-lite-dpup_484.sfs-md5.txt

just tried :D in pupy 4.1.2
seems to play OK
may be it's possible to cut it off ( i'll throw unneeded locales and will repack myself) or split into kde-libs part and amarok iself ( interesting if any kde app work with this sfs also?)

sure will put amarok into my eee pc install

thank you

Thanks for reporting magerlab, and about spliting part:
I already made pet for kdelibs when packing kpdf and kopete:
http://murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?t=41115

So I was thinking making pet for amarok, but finally I decided for sfs, if you want to cut some bloat and divide it into two or several packages it would be great, when I pack something I just pack it with everything it comes with :!:

so are all kde libs( fro kde-libs.sfs) included in amarok.sfs?

How do you use it?

I am curious how one uses an "sfs" file. I've downloaded and installed pet packages, I've also downloaded and installed "tar" files. How does one go about installing this package? I have it downloaded and when I click it, it mounts and shows me the folders included. How do I run/install the program? I've used Amarok in Kubuntu for quite some time and really like it.

Yes, since it depends on kde libs, they are all included in amarok sfs.
You should be able to install most kde apps with that sfs loaded.

Thanks! After a couple of bumps (because I didn't reboot before trying to install amarok) it works fine and I have amarok running in the background as I type this.

This is very nice; I am glad to see it available for Puppy. It seems not to play my flac and ogg files though.

I can't vouch for the flac files but I just drag and drop ogg files and they play fine on my system.

playdayz, just tried playing flac file, it works, can you check if you have libflac installed?
It should be in /usr/lib/libFLAC.so.xxx
Which puppy version do you use?
