As a matter of fact I write everything in Pascal first...then devolve it to suit situation..if I could figure out how to remove all the extraneous bling that Puppy doesn't need in its apps I wouldn't bother programming in anything else but Pascal....or maybe some day the Free Pascal Compiler will allow runtime libraries like they do in windoze or c/c++ do in all environments.

well its kind of cool that you can still use pascal for applications such a s this. the 50kb size isn't all that big either. really its the size of a image file, not bad. :) for what it can do.

I can understand that :)
Turbo Pascal was my first and favourite language. You only had to work on bits (procedures). Pascal imposed a working structure.

From one of your other threads I thought Pascal would create a large file, so wondered how it was so small if written in Pascal?

Thanks for explaining how you have created the program. Appreciate it :)

Still a few bugs but close, here is the Rox context menu part as a separate pet. It allows you to right click on any file and create an md5.txt or sha1.txt file...
