Yo Frankie! opensource game

#1 Post by steve-in-brazil »

This is a new game that has builds for Windows and Linux. Looks like it needs some pretty good hardware, but it also looks like something you would pay good money for.

Anyone ever played this game... is it puppifiable?

It says on download page that zip file contains executables for all platforms. Download unpack and try it ;)

I will do that when I get home, I've got it saved on my flashdrive. My sis-in-law's computer is old and wouldn't handle this game under any circumstance.

200mb? Ahhhhhhh! Too bad, looked like fun. That'll kill my bandwidth allowance. Tell me if it's fun :)

When I tried on puppy, I clicked on the executable file, and puppy said it didn´t know what do with it.

I tried in windows and it opened to the title screen but froze and crashed shortly thereafter.

Maybe they have some more bugs that need working out.... maybe I need a newer computer.

looks fun, oh well.

Weird Tried running it from console? Checked permissions?

Code: Select all

chmod +x nameofexecutable
./nameofexecutable
Then paste output here

funny I just came across this game tonight and I was going to post a link in this section and say its really cool looking but I'm not making a package due the size, but I guess by reading up on it, you can also just download levels and make it really small, like 50+MB or something, lol

I downloaded game, when I click/run yofrankie-linux-i386 from terminal it runs, I can hear sound, but only blank screen with status icon on the left :( And it doesn't output anything to recognize error.
