okay dejan555, thanks!

I'll try copying everything later. Gotta go do some unPuppy stuff today first.

Will let you know how it goes.

OK, if you want to do it manually, mount sfs change to mounted directory/open terminal there, then type:

Code: Select all

yes n | cp -ai * /

Okay!

I mounted the sfs and copied all the files to the corresponding folders in my puppy drive.

It works!

Unfortunately, the specs on this video card aren't enough to run it at anything approaching a reasonable speed.

On the up side, it should run great on a desktop I'm setting up with a better video card.

Thanks dejan!

Hi dejan.

I have looked for, downloaded and installed SDL on my puppy, but it complains about lacking something:

Code: Select all

smc: error while loading shared libraries: libSDL_ttf-2.0.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
I'll add, that as i don't understand very much how to install a .sfs, what I did was mounting it and copying it to "/"... But IMO that shouldn't make any difference, Just wanted to point it out.

Aprecciate your help.
Thank you.

Edit: The pet i attach solves the issue of the lacking SDL_ttf. But, now I get the following error:
Xlib: extension "GLX" missing on display ":0.0".
Xlib: extension "GLX" missing on display ":0.0".
Error : Screen mode creation failed
Reason : Couldn't find matching GLX visual
Any ideas?

Sounds like you're missing OpenGL Droope. You should be able to find it in the package manager under xorg_xorg_dri-xxx.

Thank you, it works now. :)

Edit: When I rebooted, it killed my monitor :( I have a laptop connected to a regular monitor, what died was the regular monitor...

Luckily uninstalling the pet solved the issue, but many games need this drivers. That is too bad.

Anyway, thank you.
Cheers!

It's not a completely hopless situation, maybe you could look around the forum for more specific drivers for your graphics card. Maybe that the DRI pet (incorrectly) loaded some driver it thought was appropriate, but obviously wasn't. Depends how bad you want to play I guess :)

Resquashed for sfs4 and reuploaded to meownplanet.net, fixed link in first post, this still works on dpup485, didn't try on other puppies chances are you might need extra lib or too.

Hi all...

I can confirm this works in Precise 5.6.1 in case anyone is interested. I just installed this and tried it out, seems to work great. :)
