Thanks ttuuxxx, another great release...

You are right ttuuxxx, I found that I sent you the wrong pet file for Pnethood update, the GUI is changed but actually no Domain authentication Embarassed .

Although that change will not damage actual functionality for Pnethood, the Domain authentication is not working. I´m uploading now a new working version, please test it.

also when I added your dropbear gui luckly I noticed you left out the 2X.desktop files, it wouldn't of had a menu item ,lol I fixed it for the release.

Thanks ttuuxxx, well that´s happens Shocked , and happens frequently when you don´t do enough tests...

For this reason I admire hard work of people that use, test and report problems in 214X. It´s a time consuming task that need patience...

I think there are no more changes needed in 214X, I´m short of time lately so I´ll fix bugs for next release but no new developments. I don´t want to include low quality software for a high quality system like 214X...

Greetings,
clarf

Hi clarf don't be hard on yourself, your stuff is really good, just needs a bit of testing, I didn't have time to test it, and figured it was ok since nobody else said anything, still so far the next release looks like it will be the final, touch wood Smile
I would like to get the pupradio/streamripper working better together, Hey oh ya I thought I update Firefox to 3.6 but its still at 3.5.7 ooops, lol I had it all preconfigured etc and ready to install, but as you know I build live so when I reset my pc, it got erased, lol Well it is a bit buggy and 3.5.7 has better rendering, so no harm done Smile

Thanks ttuuxxx, I´m glad you like my work...

I wonder if BMP can play stream media (do you know the command line options?), so we could include that player option for pupRadio and not use gxine only, gxine works for me but I would like to bring more options for other users...

Any tough about it???

BMP can play streams, well streamtuner uses it to play streams.
beep-media-player %q is what stream tuner uses,
rxvt -e streamripper %q -d /root/music -r -q is what streamripper uses
would be a lot lighter on resources if bmp played the audio streams. Plus it has a eq and ladspa, so sound quality could be improved over gxine.

Hi ttuuxxx

Could you please post the scripts for pupRadio that you have altered over in the pupRadio thread? pet or tarball Wink

I have plans on giving the user a choice as to whatever app they want to use to record. Some of your's and clarf's ideas might help me to improve the app.

cheers

running RC3. things are working well as usual. installed pwireless2 and running with no problem.

2 things real quick:

1. clarf's volume bar slider is not applied. should be placed in /usr/sbin
2. i thought you were going to replace ghasher with the new gtkhash from pg 187. if that was your intention it is not done either.
3. ttuuxxx, can you replace the /etc/mailcap and etc/mime.type files with these i attached. i added the changes to make firefox associate .wmv and .wvx files with the default media player. since i know how to do this now if i come across other extensions that need association i will try and add those.

test video: (i haven't watched it, no idea what it is about, just a wmv file)

seems really nice though. i love using this version. Very Happy

Ok, I´ll look it later. BMP seems to have problems playing some URL´s, those that ends with .asx, .m3u and .pls are not recognized by BMP...

Just downloaded RC3, I´m impressed with this release it seems like a final product....

Little problems: I found that mini-volume slider was not updated (already reported by sinc), Dropbear Server does not work because I forgot to add some gtraycon files Embarassed , I´m loading a new package for dropbear launcher (although if you installed pwireless2 gtrayicon will work).

Latest dropbear launcher pet with gtrayicon libs: http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?t=42553&start=2763

pupRadio works fine, I love the way it looks in 214X Very Happy

Here micko are the main files, but it needs a bit of TLC for the full use of streamripper, but its a good start. Smile

I was only going to do that if we were using gnutls but it broke too many apps removing openssl, Ghasher is way Quicker of a hasher application, so it stays Smile.

I tried it, FF just ask if you want to save the file etc. So you save it and click on it and it opens in Gxine. works for me :)but is that what you wanted? Didn't it always ask if you wanted to save wmv?

the link before you replace the mailcap and mimetype files will just ask if you want to save the file. after you replace mailcap and mime.type it should give you the option to 'open with default media player' instead of having to save the file first. it works on mine... maybe firefox has to be restarted?
