Sound Problem with HP mini 1119

Subject description: just speaker unavailable		  
Puppy 4.2.1
Alsamixer 1.0.16
sound Card:IDT High Definition Audio CODEC

There is sound Icon in tray,but Laptop speaker is no sound,butbut,my external audio box can play music,why?? 3KS!!!

I have not, to this point, been able to get sound working and could use some help and/or direction if anyone has any ideas.....
