See my posts.
To get you started.

We are talking Windows....right????

Best to uninstall first if it's windows.
Otherwise if they are games with shortcuts that you put
into a folder then use my methods with Rox.

Before hitting Enter once to delete,
think about what you're doing twice.

Hello Chris

I'm sorry. My original enquiry was lacking info.

I have installed Puppy onto the HD of an old laptop due to low RAM.
I want to use the PC to learn about linux and as a spare internet machine.
Therefore I would like to learn how to remove programs from Puppy that is installed on the HD (I want to get rid of the games as a first project).

Any ideas?

Dave

davywavy;

I use full installs: when I want to remove something, I use pfind
to locate the files and then move the ones I don't want to trash,
then right click and empty trash.
I either have a backup of those files or use the live cd to replace
files if the removal process causes dependency problems with
other applications.

Inspiron 700m, Pent.M 1.6Ghz, 1Gb ram.
Msi Wind U100, N270 1.6>2.0Ghz, 1.5Gb ram.
Eeepc 8g 701, 900Mhz, 1Gb ram.
Full installs

Thanks RJ

That sounds straightforward.
I am trying to learn how to remaster the installation and transfer the image to a USB device. (No burner and the CDROM sounds like every rattle could be its last)
When I have cracked it I will try your suggestion.

For remastering and installing to usb, you'll need to use
a frugal install.
Probably best to start with a stripped down Pup like Barebones.

Msi Wind U100, N270 1.6>2.0Ghz, 1.5Gb ram.
