I'm Just So Amazed!!

#1 Post by Alucard_the_dex »

I never thought puppy Could be this easy for me to use! :o So far I have personalized every Aspect i could with the much appreciated help of others. I think I have made my Puppy More Fun to use then my Windoze XP was. Looking back at windows i think i used the command line.........Oh yeah i didn't use it at all @.@ now i enjoy using it often on puppy.

Unfortunately there still are a few things i miss From windows that i liked. Being able to move my Toolbar to the top of the screen and making it double width but I'm living just fine without that and think I'm growing use to it.

When i First came to puppy i was just so aggravated every day cuz i didn't know how to do anything at all. Now After A couple months I'm happy as hell I'm on puppy and wanting to make my very own version for personal use (which if politely asked ill share but it wont be to amazing lol).

Now to make my cuzin use puppy! mwahah!

Toolbar:
/root/.icewm/preferences

# Task bar at top of the screen
# TaskBarAtTop=0 # 0/1
TaskBarAtTop=1

# Use double-height task bar
# TaskBarDoubleHeight=0 # 0/1
TaskBarDoubleHeight=1

This makes it higher.
To change the width, you would need another tool i could write easily.
What would you need exactly?
By default it covers the whole screenwidth?

^^ thank you for the info But i Already tryed using a double high Toolbar by using the IcewmCP. Unfortunatly it didnt well look or do what i thought it did such as the XP way. It raised it but added a blank white space with a URL inside it like a web browser. Hence the reason i miss the XP double high.

That's also configured in the same file. The URL box is optional.

I don't have IceWm handy right now so I cannot show you how to do it. What I know is that I've done it.
