Hi, I'm new to Puppy Linux and am attempting to use the Pupitup distro. I'm totally in the dark about drivers.

I plugged a Zoom H4 into a USB port and by golly it worked! But only so so, and for only 1 stereo track. The second stereo track was totally garbled. I suspect this is because it's using a rather generic driver or because it's on a very old laptop running at only 800Mhz. At this point I'm just experimenting, if I go in this direction I will build a bigger box

The other interface I wish to use is a Tascam FireOne. It's a firewire interface capable of 24 bit 96K recording as well as MIDI.

Here's the question:
Has anybody been successful in using a firewire audio interface in Puppy, or any other distro. Any advice?
Same question regarding the Zoom H4.
