PCMCIA Adapter - 8139too driver does not work with TeenPup

#1 Post by svgt »

Hello,

I use a pcmcia controller TI-1225 in an old Gericom laptop. This broadband ethernet connection works via LevelOne Card Bus Adapter with Puppy 4.2. But it does not work with TeenPup2009.

With lsmod a title is shown, but no modules.
Then I look in the original Puppy 4.2. There is a long list of modules to be seen.
There are modules eg yenta_socket with used=3 and 8139too with used=0.
If I try to load these modules in the Teenpub installation, then there is the message <could not load>

Then I looked after these Linux infos for the LevelOne pcmcia card FPC-0106TX.
Two drivers are provided from LevelOne: rtl8139.c and 8139too.c
- The second one is listed by the Network wizard, but a trial load is not successful.

Thanks in advance for any proposal.

Regards
Svgt

PS: status 3.3V 32-bit PC card vendor LevelOne FPC-0106TX
