Running from live CD (as always) the shutdown sequence halts at pcmcia. I've discovered I can get it to finish by 'Tabbing' over to the right margin then holding the backspace key down. If the prompt makes it back to the left margin then the sutdown sequence finishes.
My computer has an i815T chipset and a built-in pcmcia card reader (which I never use and don't know anything about.)
(Edit) Perhaps impatience led me to make a wrong conclusion. Puppy always stops at 'Shutting down PCMCIA' but it turns out that if I just wait long enough (~30 sec) it seems to go on and shut down. The stuff I was doing that I thought caused it to shut down was just a way to fill in the time.
1.0.7a shutdown glitch?
