ExpressCard 3G modem connected via PCMCIA adapter

#1 Post by vsergeyev »

Puppy 4.2. Modem is 3G Novatel Wireless EX720, adapter is ELAN ExpressCard-PCMCIA.

On HP 2133 I use this modem without any problems (and without adapter) - it appears in USB deviced and works pretty good with wvdial.

Now I decided to try it on HP 530. With adapter, becouse modem is 34mm expresscard, and slot is 54mm pcmcia II.

Adapter is present in PCI devices:
Description: ENE Technology Inc CB1410 Cardbus Controller
Vendor: 1524 Device: 1410 Kernel module: yenta_socket

Modem not seen nore in pci, nore in usb devices. Modem's vendor/device ids are 1410/1120 so I tried
modprobe usbserial vendor=0x1410 product=0x1120
with no results.

I have tried all from http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?t=32970 and http://kenkinder.com/evdo-pc5740/

Any ideas?
