Adguard DNS

#1 Post by labbe5 »

Why use Adguard DNS?
Provides a necessary minimum of ad blocking, privacy protection, browsing security and parental control functionality.

Parental control functionality may appeal to parents of young children.

Default :
Use these servers to block ads, trackers and phishing websites :

176.103.130.130

176.103.130.131

Family Protection :
Use these servers to block ads, trackers, phishing and adult websites, and to enforce safe search in your browser :

176.103.130.132

176.103.130.134

There is an Overview here :

For maximum privacy, there is DNSCrypt to be installed, for advanced users. To get you started on DNSCrypt, look here :

Finally, as with DNS.Watch, it is a distrust of Internet service providers that make alternate public DNS servers appealing. Some internet service providers can't be trusted, keeping logs, or preventing their customers from enjoying some websites (geo restrictions).

With alternate DNS servers, you can prevent your system administrator from knowing which websites you visit, at work, at home, at school, and access restricted sites, as long as you can change settings by yourself.
