Hello everyone,
What is the current status for the Unleashed version of Puppy? I remember seeing some stuff on it a couple of months ago, but I can't seem to find anything recent.
Although I run Fedora Core 3 at home, I always carry a version of Puppy with me. First on my 256MB thumb drive (and a boot floppy -- just in case), and now with 1.0.1 on an 210MB, 80mm CD-R. What I would like to do is put Puppy on a smaller CD-R that I can carry in my wallet easier.
Links are provided as examples of the media I'm talking about:
--Hockey Rink Style: 63mm X 88mm, http://www.cdrrack.com/cdrack/000cdbzcurg.html
--Business Card Style: 60mm X 80mm, http://www.cdrrack.com/cdrack/000cdbzrtrg.html
The problem with these CDs is their size, 50MB. I would like to learn more about remastering Puppy's mix of programs so I can trim the size down to fit on the 50MB CD-R's.
Any ideas? A "here is the link I posted last year" reply would be welcome.
Thanks in advance!
Babbs
<50MB Custom Build?
try this,

and wait (as I do) for Bonsai-puppy to be ready-grown.
good luck

Unleashed v1.0.2 will be released along with the live-CD v1.0.2, hopefully in a few days -- it depends if anyone finds anything seriously wrong with 1.0.2RC.
Unleashed 1.0.2 will be very easy to download for people on dialup. Although it has grown to 292 packages, they will all be separate tarballs, with one base tarball. So, you download 293 files instead of one big one!
