mcs7830 usb-ethernet not loading in TEENpuppy 2009 Subject description: mcs7830 network driver won't work with TEENpuppy2009
My first post - really want TEENpuppy2009 to work but how do I get it to recognise USB-ethernet adapter (MOSchip mcs7830)? I copied the .ko file from Puppy 4 (works fine there) into /lib/modules/2.6.x.x/kernel/drivers/usb/net and entered [modprobe mcs 7830] in terminal but got something like 'module format not correct'. (can't remember which kernel it is in TEENpuppy 2009).
I need idiot level instructions on how to get this working if possible as I am new to Linux. Thank you _________________ Toshiba Satellite s1800-504 laptop 1000MHz P3 Celeron CPU, 512 Mb RAM, 160 Gb IDE HD, DVD RW, Puppy 400 Dingo, Deep Thought 421,
