Second monitor on HP zv6100 laptop

i have an HP zv6100 laptop that has an output for a second monitor.

Has anyone set up their laptop to use a second monitor as the 'second' desktop? What problems did you have?

I have no problems using the same resolution on booth even when the external LCD will go higher. I do not plan to use the second monitor all the time.

I plan to go to Puppy 4.3.1 when it is released and do a fresh save file. Right now I am using 4.1.1. Once everything is up and running under 4.3.1 I will try a full install.
