4.2: no audio from Lenovo S10 Ideapad Netbook

#1 Post by PenPen »

Has anyone been able to get the audio to work on the S10 Ideapad?

I was hoping that 4.2 would have the audio working out of the box but I can not seem to get this to work.

Note the 10/100 works well but I had to use the windoz driver for the WiFi :o(

I sure would like to use puppy 4.2, it would be nice if someone could do for the S10 as they have done for the Acer One or Eeep

I thank you in advance for any help that is posted,

To anyone that owns a Lenovo S10 Ideapad Netbook.....

Simplicity Netbook Edition, sound works

Still have to use the WinDozzzz wifi driver, but all works and this is a "Great New Puplet".

I'm running it on a 2gig Flash Drive and ALL seems to work.

I'm at work right now but when I get back to my living quarters I'll try to post a screenshot. I haven't done that before but now will be the time to try..... 8)
It does have the world wallpaper but it is not the default one.
Plus there are several ""Cloud" applications" shortcuts on the desktop...

I am downloading the newest puplet available.

I've used simplicity-linux-netbook-edition on my S10 netbook with no problems and now look forward to evaluating and using both the netbook and desktop versions of simplicity-linux.

I hope all have as good as an experience with this puplet as I have,
