To all of us who had no idea what ubuntustudio was all about.

http://ubuntustudio.org/
Ubuntu Studio. A multimedia creation flavor of Ubuntu.

Ubuntu Studio is aimed at the GNU/Linux audio, video and graphic enthusiast as well as professional.

We provide a suite of the best open-source applications available for multimedia creation. Completely free to use, modify and redistribute. Your only limitation is your imagination.
I use Google Search on Puppy Forum
not an ideal solution though

Please don't forget to include wings 3D which is missing in the original Ubuntu studio.

I'm also looking forward to this... my question is about how you're putting everything together...
Are you creating a 'core' and then having sfs files with all the extras for video, mutimedia, audio, etc, or are you just keeping a smaller subset of what UbStu offers?

I'm including a better video editor
Good on you Bremer, can't stand that such a hyped up multimedia studio has such lousy video editing support. Looking forward to what you and Puppy come up with. All the best :)

I'm including a better video editor
ubuntustudio-video

Video editing apps.
Package list:

openmovieeditor ffmpeg ffmpeg2theora kino stopmotion dvgrab
Description:
openmovieeditor - Video editor
ffmpeg - Multimedia player, server and encoder
ffmpeg2theora - Theora video encoder using ffmpeg
kino - A non-linear editor for Digital Video data
stopmotion - A program for creating stop motion animation.
dvgrab - Grab digital video data via IEEE1394 links
what are you planing.?
is it better than openshot i am a novice. know nothing.
edit: oh now i see by your screenshot that it is openshot. have you got export to mp4?
my dream app: something that will allow time dependent mathematical formulas input from say sage then modeled/modified realtime in say Blender and then exported to adobe flash movie (or now perhaps webm)

Any news on this animal?

#13 Post by funkster1 »

Hi there Bremer,

are there any news on your development of Puppy-Studio? Or maybe you're on holidays, since it this time of the year...

Would be nice to get some status updates from time to time. Since me too I'm really looking forward to this. Mainly STABLE working Ardour & Rosegarden, Linux Sampler and QSynth/Guitarix/Rak-A-Rack. If Freewheeling would function on it  , I'd be more than happy of course. :D

Keep us please posted mate

Raphael ;)

Yes, sorry about that. I was posting using someone else's account before (with their permission, of course).

Thank you very much aarf.
I don't come here very often to the puppy forums, so please excuse my ignorance.

Cheers,

Raphael ;)
