Congratulations

#16 Post by Volhout »

@Technosaurus:
Congratulations with 4.4 alpha. It is the first puppy in weeks that I have tried, that I plan to keep. Macpup and E17 are clumbersom to use, and don't show well on my display. Lupu 501 in first instance would not work on my PC (video) and I had to revert to VESA to get a picture at all (unlike earlier puppies like 431). And 501 looks don't appeal to me. Appart from that I was forced to start (slow speed) a download of a browser before I could use it.

Soo much different is 4.4

Everything works out of the box. And the theme changer, and icon adder, basic set of puppy apps. All great. In such a small iso. I did not go through a thorough test yet, but that will happen soon.

I did have a problem with the google account, so I'll mention my bug here: the calculator doens't start.

This thread should get un-stickied.

Google code shut its doors in 2015
https://opensource.googleblog.com/2015/ ... -code.html

Or am I missing the mark?

Need to change the subject of this topic so it is something about Woof-CE and no longer Google.
The things they do not tell you, are usually the clue to solving the problem.
When I was a kid I wanted to be older.... This is not what I expected :shock:

I think there may be an open woof ce thread(s) already though ... one of them is called something like "woof ce needs you", but there may be others, so its probably better to point people to GitHub and edit the wiki there to point to any forum threads, mailing lists, irc channels or whatever may be relevant.
