Puppy Beta for Christmas

#1 Post by Lobster »

I'm thinking that Pup 1.0.7beta will be out by Christmas eve. So, for those who do the opening presents thing on xmas morning, while the kids open their pressies, Puppy enthusiasts can download a new Pup to play with.

I am gonna be putting some Puppy Sizzlers 106's on mini-RW cd's . . .

Well, it will only be a beta...
I propose that if we test quickly, could have the final 1.0.7 out on New Years Day?

Sounds good. I tend to use a test version until it does something odd and then I return to a stable version. I am using the 1.0.7a (Puppy Tardis) since its release . . . with no need to return to Puppy Sizzler (1.0.6) I have also weaned myself off of fvwm95 . . . and onto JWM

So mid February (aprox) for 1.0.8 with Alsa sound (I have pencilled in Puppy "Singer" as a codename) and possible move to Firefox (a fellow dog) - Firefox just works and I have been using it without thinking - often have to look for things in the Mozilla menu - Flock I also had to think about where or what - not "no-brain" friendly . . .

End of March for 1.0.9 (aka Puppy K9)

So mid May for Puppy 1.1.0

My plans are to start a semi-formal training program for our keen Pups in 2006

What happened to monthly release schedules?

Why now 1.5 month schedules?

I have to wait longer now :(
