AdobeAir + Antenna (workaround for Precise without Pmusic)

#1 Post by mikeslr »

Hi All,
My prefered app for radio music streams is pmusic. But with the current difficulty the precise pups have running pmusic I experimented with workarounds and finally settled for AdobeAir with Antenna. AdobeAir is an "base," like java or python. Once it is running, apps which require it can be run. Antenna is actually a great app for accessing streaming audio as it doesn't lock you in to the streams available via pmusic, shoutcast or similar pre-figured applications. Geoffrey built the AdobeAir pet for use in Saluki, but it also will work under Carolina, Lupu and precise. I haven't yet tried it under Slacko or Exprimo but expect it will run under either. The links for both AdobeAir and Antenna can be found here:

Because of AdobeAir's size and that I run various Puplets, I used RHS's PaDs application, http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewto ... 359#658359 to convert it to an SFS, loaded it via SFS-on-the-fly, but installed the Antenna pet which, itself, is small.
After installation, look for Antenna on the Internet Submenu.
