I used to run XP on my Satellite A25-S207 and had a monitor profile set up. Is there a way to use that profile with Puppy 4.3/Xorg?
Thanks,
Joe
Can Puppy use a monitor profile from Windows XP?
Hi,
I think that xcalib is what you need: http://xcalib.sourceforge.net/

I think you need to install Little CMS ( http://www.littlecms.com/ ) or argyll (http://www.argyllcms.com/) in order to use any Color management in linux, and I don't know if it's already installed in Puppy.
Color managed applications (as GIMP or Scribus) let you choose a monitor profile in the software preferences. But I think it won't work without LCMS or Argill.
Anyway, using a monitor profile created in other OS will not be accurate. A monitor profile works only in a particular condition, that includes video hardware and software.
It will be better to install Little CMS and Lprof, and create a new profile in Linux.

This pages will be helpful:xcalib is a tiny monitor calibration loader for XFree86 (or X.org) and MS-Windows.
