Feature request: session selection at boot

#1 Post by Perkins »

As I'm playing and experimenting with this, I've managed to kill a couple of multi-session CDs. That is, I've done various things that make it so that it won't boot up properly again. I'm wondering how possible it would be to add an option to pick which sessions are loaded at startup. Or at least leave off the last one. Would give a way to recover when you make a change, it seems to work, and then dies on reboot.

Just flailing wildly, but would it work to boot Puppy from a regular live CD, then mount the (dead) multisession CD and fix it somehow? Maybe delete the last session, I don't know.

I've tried that. Havn't had much time to really play with it, but when I did that it seemed like it loaded the deleted session anyway... I'm not quite sure how that works... I'll experiment a bit more and see what happens.
