Hm... I never get same problem, but I hope I can help.
Did you install Puppy by removing the compact flash and install it using another computer (Windows)?
Maybe you can try to install Puppy to your compact flash from your computer. Run Puppy in your computer using USB stick, using live mode, then install a copy of Puppy to your compact flash.
Reboot and try again.
Using another version of Puppy may be helpful. Try higher version. In my opinion, your hardware can handle Wary Puppy 5.5

Hello, 4sevener
Sorry, I still don't understand. What I tried to told you is install puppy on your USB Stick. Then plug in your USB to your desktop. Boot your desktop from USB.
After that, try to install Puppy to your PC, without removing your compact flash out. Then, reboot to see it works or not.
Also, I beg your pardon. Probably, Linux Live Creator doesn't support compact flash. If I not wrong, Puppy has ability to make boot able compact flash. You can find it in Puppy Universal Installer (click Install icon on your Puppy desktop)
Thanks

Also, do not have the Puppy USB flash drive plugged in when you try to boot from the SD card.
