add new module to puppy (elo touchscreen)?

Hello specialists,

I managed to get the usb drivers (.ko and .so files) from elo directly.
tempestouses how to and pets are for elo serial screens.

But how do I load them?

I copied them into (I think) the appropriate files (kernel and xorg/input) but modprobe gives a Fatal: cant find module .

I#m using the 2.6.25.16 kernel and puppy 4.1.2.

touch is running on usbhid but the axis' are swapped.

expert help would be very appreciated, thank you.
