ooh, and Puppy Linux is considered a "four star" liveCD Linux distro!
And it's the first one mentioned in the four they recommend.
DesktopLinux.com mentions Puppy Linux, LiveCD Linux article
Lightweight
As Slax-standard is KDE-based, only Puppy and DSL qualify in the "lightweight" category. Hmm, something good can come out of this...

I believe DSL and Puppy should work more closely together. At the moment we keep an eye on them and use any useful ideas/programs - they the same.
However it would be difficult to merge because DSL is commited to staying under 50 meg and the architectures are different. I do believe we should use the Knoppix hardware recognition engine as an alternative. The adoption of JWM as an alternative display makes DSL seem a lot closer to Puppy.
More coments/ideas from developers welcome?
