Would someone like to dazzle us all with a steampunk theme for mplayer?

Maybe one for pcd and pmusic too?

I'd do it but I don't know how to skin but I'm willing to learn.

Hmm, steampunk, why haven't I heard of this genre till now?
Seems interesting, some awkward fantasy like genre.

Actually now I remember watching this movie called "Brazil" a friend of mine brought me, it's weird as hell

Lol, yes! Brazil is very strange!

Also tho, Jules Verne is considered the father of Steampunk. 20, 000 leagues under the sea and all that. Mostly it's Victorian era stuff with a sci-fi tweak.

I made a theme using phony as a base. I will be posting it, my first, when I have it completely finished to my satisfaction.

Here's the skin I came up with. It's Victorian in design so fits into the Steampunk style.

The mute button doesn't work quite right. It didn't in the original skin either. So if someone could fix the skin file so mute works properly I'd be grateful. Code is not my strong suit.

In the vein of the thread, I was inspired from the mplayer skin that I whipped up a Steam Punk IceWM theme. Hope you all like it. Its just a mod of Golden Mood.

edit: I forgot some images, and update the tgz.

I like it! I installed it as one of my themes. I took the liberty of taking the menubg.xpm, tweaking it and making it my menubg.xpm. I darkened the black "velvet"?, and gave the wood a redish tint like mahogony. I also took the wood and made it my inactive workspace button and also the minimized window button.

I'll have to post a pic here tomorrow.

walter90:

Where did you get that desktop theme and those icons? I'd really enjoy the chance to try those out.

Thanks
