canon ip3300 rpm [solved]

I just buy a canon ip3300 printer.but the driver in the disk is in rpm format.for puppy ,it seems does not work. I am new to puppy, I really don't know how to install this driver.can anyone help me.my puppy is 4.31

You can find a collection of Canon drivers here, courtesy of Patriot. Your specific driver can be found here, however, judging from the previous posts, it may have some issues. I can't say for myself, specifically, whether it will work for you; however, I've had very good luck with the drivers Patriot has compiled. I couldn't use my MX860 before I found his post.

This link suggests that you can use the BJC-7000 gutenprint
driver.

Try running Menu>Setup>CUPS Printer Wizard, Yes, ok, then Administartion>Add Printer, follow the steps, then when it asks for Model/Driver, try selecting Canon BJC-7000 - CUPS+Gutenprint
