I provide here the Intel 537 drivers included in the main (k2.6.30.5) puppy 4.3.1. If your Intel 537 modem is not detected by the older driver included in the k2.6.25.16 puppy 4.3.1, it should be supported by one of these variants of the driver, depending on its hardware IDs:

Use pupscan to identify your modem, then download and install only the driver for your modem, unless you need others for other reasons.
If you need to uninstall these drivers, afterward, in order to restore use of the orignal driver (Intel537), the directory /lib/modules/2.6.25.16/intelmodem must be deleted.
NOTE: If you are including these drivers in a puplet, you can delete/omit the old driver, /lib/modules/2.6.25.16/kernel/drivers/char/Intel537.ko.

I am not sure what you are asking. If you are unsure of which driver to install for your modem, yes, you could install all of them -- or one at a time and test each -- and only the correct one for your Intel 537 modem will be used. Then you could uninstall the ones you don't need, if you want to reclaim their space, but that is not necessary. If you are using another kind of modem, these drivers will not interfere, other than using up many megabytes of pupsave-file space.
The simplest way would be to run Menu > System > PupScan to find your modem's vendor and device IDs, then finding the correct driver from the list in my previous posting here.
