I am running Puppy 4.3.1 and attempting to use gtkpod to access an iPod Touch.

I have installed these three pets to make gtkpod work:

gtkpod-0.99.12.pet
libgpod-0.6.0.pet
libmp4v2-1.5.0.1.pet

The iPod is listed on the USB devices with all the info including the serial number.

When I hit "Load iPod(s)" in gtkpod,

It says "iPod directory structure not found" and gives me the option to create it or cancel

Clicking create leads to a window attempting to create /mnt/ipod and asks me to select the iPod model.

When I select the iPod Touch it uses model xA623 and I get the error message:

Error initialising iPod: Couldn't find the iPod

The directory /mnt/ipod is created. Reboot and retry leads down the same path.

Any ideas?

It may not be supported by gtkpod, yet. I found this post on the gtkpod site/forums:

It's from 2008, yes, but the situation may still apply (or apply again).

Wonder if Floola supports the Touch, yet... doubt it does, though. (No recent mention/forum posts there about it, but the posts that do mention it also mention that the firmware/etc. encryption is a roadblock to supporting the Touch. )
